Local Information
Bowden Farm is ideally located to enjoy a host of different activities and attractions.
You will be spoilt for choice if you wish to experience some of the activities available in the area
which include walking, pony trekking, climbing, canoeing, swimming, fishing,
cycling and letter-boxing. There are also a number of good pubs and restaurants in the locality.

Clapper Bridge (pictured above) is on the edge of the farm and
forms part of the popular "Abbots Way" walk, which historically
linked Buckfast Abbey with Tavistock and Buckland Abbey.
Other attractions within 5 miles are: the South
Devon Railway (formerly the Dart Valley Steam
Railway), Butterfly Farm and Otter
Sanctuary, Pennywell
Farm, Buckfast
Abbey and the River Dart
Country Park.
If you wish to venture further, within 25 miles, there
is a vast selection of beautiful beaches along the South Devon coastline: the Cathedral city of Exeter, the ancient maritime port of Plymouth, (also home to the
National Marine
Aquarium), Woodlands
Leisure Park, Crealy Adventure
Park, Quay West
Waterpark, the Paignton
and Dartmouth Steam Railway and Paignton Zoo, to name but a few.
Slightly further afield you have the Eden Project (approx 50 miles),
Diggerland (approx 40 miles)
and The World of Country Life (approx 30 miles).
